How to Fix Paint Runs When the Paint is Semi-Dry
There is nothing worse than seeing your hard work run…literally! Paint drips happen, but on some paints like Sherwin Williams ProClassic, they are difficult to go back and “catch” when the paint has already started to dry without ruining your hard work with thick brush strokes and a hot mess on your hands. I was painting crown moulding and after much frustration, stopped and tried to think out of the box for moment if there was any other way to fix these drips that I apparently was not successful enough to prevent in the first place. And then it dawned on me…acetone! When I smudge my freshly painted big toe (and it never fails, I do!) I rub a tiny bit of acetone on the spot with my bare finger and viola, it’s back to new. Why would the same concept not apply to wall paint? Well, guess what, it does! Take a look at the video below for a quick “how to” get rid of those runs and no one will ever know they were there!
