Free Home Security - Alexa

I’m a huge fan of Amazon and all things Amazon including the Alexa products. Alexa can easily “guard” your home when you leave by simply saying, “Alexa, I’m leaving.” I have an Echo Dot in the garage for this reason because I can’t seem to remember to tell her until I actually get out the door. There is also a simpler, less expensive Echo Flex that will do the same thing. When Alexa is in guard mode, the light on your Dot will be a yellow ring and she will listen for broken glass and smoke detectors. If anything goes array, she’ll notify you on your phone. Furthermore, I have Blink cameras in the driveway and backyard that are linked to her as well. So again, in guard mode, she’s keeping an eye inside and outside the house. Simple and no monthly costs!
